The electric vehicle market continues to grow and so does the infrastructure to support it. One of the boons to electric vehicle ownership is the proliferation of charging stations – and especially the fast-charging stations.

European automakers including BMW and Volkswagen are seriously committed to developing an ultra-fast charger network that rivals Tesla’s Supercharger network. Reuters reports that these automakers along with Ford, plan to build 400 ultra-fast charging stations in Europe and North America that will be capable of tripling the power levels Tesla’s existing fast-charging Supercharger stations produce.
